Hi Everyone

I am 26 years old, and I am just starting the process of learning to play the violin. So far, after 2 semesters of group violin lessons at the university, I have completed Suzuki Book 1 and Essential Elements Book 1. I also play the piano, which I started when I was ~10, and it seems that the learning curve is very different between the two instruments. I recall that when I`d finish a song in my lesson book for piano, the song usually sounded pretty good, unlike when I finish a violin song in the Suzuki book. I am playing all of the notes and they are in tune, but the song does not sound even half as good as what is being played on the Suzuki tape. Have any of you had this experience, and if so, about when did you start sounding better?

Thanks,
S.R.
