...im in high school, yr 9 and we`ve been asked to do an overseas trip soon-well..in 2005 or 6, but only selected band members are gona be going. The thing is, ive only been playing a lil while-about 1 year and bout 7 months. I have really high range compared to others players at my school. i can get high c and occasionally a bit higher. there are only 2 other girls who can get passed that ( high d sharp) n theyre in year 11 and 12. by the time the trip is gona b taken, theyll b outta school, but still have a chance of being selected.
i no range isnt everything but iv been told i also produce a very clear and nice sound and have good intonation and everything. the biggest problem is the head guy doesnt no all this and my teacher wont say anything. Like one day he walks into my lesson n says..gosh im proud of your senior players, they can nearly get high c n shes like yeah..but she wont mention that i can get it too..
I no this probably sounds like im all stuck up but i just want him to know my ability before he selects coz iv never been given any opportunities like this in my life, never gone overseas and this trip just means so much to me.
