I was in band in high school, but I was in the brass and percussion section and I have no idea how to play a woodwind instument. My daughter is interested in playing in the band now and received a used clarinet from a friend. We thought during the summer she could practice with it an se if she likes it. She is 10 years old. My question is, I understand there are many different strengths in reeds. Which on is best to use for a beginner??

well, the best reed for a 10 year old begginer to start with would probably be a 2 reed. its strength is good, and also, it will be easier for her to wet her reed. Rico reeds are very good.
