I have been playing the violin for almost a year, and am improving very slowly and I`m wondering if I should stick with it. I`m not one to just give up, but I`m starting to wonder if I`ll ever improve? I was just wondering how long it took some of you to improve/ be able to play pretty well without much trouble? I`ve played Clarinet for 3 years and my first year was awful, but my second year I improved greatly, and now I can play ten times better, and can pick up something in a few minutes/days. (depending on what I`m trying to learn) Even though violin is extremely different from a wind instrument, I`m still wondering if I`ll ever get to a place where it`s not such a struggle to get through certain lessons. Thanks for any replies/comments you have.

This Sept. will mark my first complete year. And I`m basically through the first stage/ first book. I guess I`m just used to going faster, with the clarinet and piano. It seems I just picked it up at once. Thanks so much for replying.
