Hello, Can some please tell me how many levels are there in playing piano? Some says 8, some 9, some says 12. Well, what is the real one?? What level is the starting advanced? What level is Chopin`s fantasie Impromptu? .. Nocturne op.9 no.2. Please answer all my questions because I really want to know my level. Thank you.

You know what, there really isn`t a definite piano level, not after you start becoming advanced-intermediate to advanced. Every organization and company or club (like Suzuki, Alfred, Bastien, competitions, etc) have their own set out levels. You really shouldn`t be worried about how many levels are there, essentially there are four--beginner, intermediate-beginner, intermediate-advanced, and advanced. If your playing the Fantasie, or that nocturne your pretty advanced I would say. There is no `starting entry level for advanced` level that exists for the general world in piano.

Well, there are many kinds of level. But the USUALLY use at international is the level from the Royal ABRSM. Did you ever hear that? There is 8 grade there, and then continue with Diploma, LRSM, and FRSM. Usually people said that people who finish 8 grade can start teaching piano. Playing chopin`s fantasie impromptu is quite hard.
