I am 43 years old, professional trumpet player in the symphony orchestra, all the time I play trumpet I have large and rich sound, all this time I have a problem with high register. Some day I decided that two top first teeth are too long and they mix for top lip freedom, so I came to dentist and asked him cut both first top teeth. He successfully does it. It was one and half year ago. My abilities even in middle register became worse so I was disappoint because I was waiting another result after surgery, though it was much more freedom for my top lip. That time I plaid with Bach 2 ½ mouthpiece, two months ago I took mouthpiece smaller – Shilke 14 B but still I have the same problem.
Tell me please if I may improve my situation.

Yes- stop getting your teeth cut up, stop worrying so much about your equipment, and use more air and better focused air- which is behind 99% of all wind/brass problems. Otherise I can`t really help, I`m a clarinettist, not a trumpeter.
