There should be...

We have forums for every instrument and many styles of music (thanks for all that... I find that quite helpful).

But why isn`t there a composer`s forum to discuss favorite composers and compositional techniques?

I`m going to be a senior in high school in the fall. When I get older, I want to be a music composer (I`ve loved to compose since my second year of piano lessons, 5th grade). I still feel like I have a long way to go to get to my dreams, and I`ve been looking for advice from many people to help me. However, it`s hard because you don`t find too many people in one area.

I think a composer`s forum would help many of us a lot. Anyone with me on the idea?

As someone who is majoring in composition at uni, I wholeheartedly agree.

I agree, I think we need a composer`s forum, there are so many great composer. ex: Beethoven, Mozart, Jon Williams, Danny Elfman, Johann Sebastian Bach, Claude Debussy, Georges Bizet, and Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky. I mean there are so many great composers, and we don`t even have a composer`s forum to admire there work.

You`ve got my vote (just in case anyone in charge of the website actually reads and considers these posts)

hey everyone, at the bottom of this webpage is a little link which says "contact us". When you press it a non-linked piece of information comes up which is that you can email suggestions about the website to admin@8notes.com. I have sent them an email asking for a composers forum so if any of you composers really want one why not do the same? I have never composed a chip butty but would be really interested to read other people`s postings on the subject.

Come to think of it, shouldn`t there be a conductor`s forum as well? Or do they share enough thoughts with us as it is?
