I am a 10th grader... and I have played a trapset, snare, and bass since the 6th grade. This year I moved to a new school and when I did I was late for the band, by begging I finally got on the line however I am in the pit. Well I can read music but the marimba is sooo overwhelming. It is so hard to pay it. Can anyody help me?? Advice??? ANYTHING??? I am looking like an idiot even the brand new ninth graders know what they are doing... HELP!!!

i would suggest the following books
Primary Handbook for Mallets (Whaley)
Marimba, Vibs, Xyl. (GOldenberg)
Method of Movement for Marimba (introduction to 4 mallets)
