i`ve just started playing in a band, and im finding it really hard to get my lyrics to fit chords, and visa versa. I`ve wrote happy songs, sad songs, but im still finding it hard. Can u help?

do you understand anything about the composition of music and chords? if you don`t, then: chords are three or more notes that when played in unison (together) sound good, basically. like each string of a guitar is a different note. when all the strings vibrate in unison, then a chord is formed. how a vocal fits into all this is that it magnifies one note of the chord. lets say you are playing a basic C chord. the vocalist then sings either a C or one of the other notes in the C chord and walla you have music. but you would need a vocalist who can sing(as in be able to sing single notes). guitar solos and bass lines are composed the same way. hope you understand this.
