Picture this Batman/woman: You are an adult with responsibilities, who has played other instruments on a semi-pro level most of your life. You can only afford yourself a small budget for self-expression and the like, but you still aspire to one day sound decent. Nothing used. An off-brand such as Helmke or Monique....which is better of the two?
