I am new to the violin. Just got it. For the most part i can hit the notes. It is a bit hard. I am used to a guitar. But i figured I wanted to expand my horizons and add another insturment. But When I am playing I get squeels a lot. I am assuming this is do to bad bowing techniques. Anyone have any pointers to help. I had read all the online stuff and looked through my book. I believe i am moveing the bow forward and back instead of up and down on the strings. There are times I am all over the strings. Assuming this will get better with time and practice. But I was wondering if anyone had good pointers to stop this.
