Perhaps I need to rephrase this when I`m searching on google because I`m coming up with nothing. This is a 15-20 page paper for my Research and Tech class "Are the physical teaching aids on musical instruments, for a beginning student in public or pricate learning environments, a benefit or hindrance to progress over time?". The only data I can find is either personal experience with learning and teaching using them, discussions with teachers, and some internet information on how to use the teaching aids properly (i.e. Suzuki finger tapes). The second thesis statement is "Do these teaching aids inhibit, over long term, the ability to maintain clear intonation and adjust fingers rapidly as necessary on string instruments". Thanks for any help on this.

please email comments.
