I have searched all over the net looking for an expert on Stradivari violins, but with no luck I have yet to find such a person.

I am sure you hear on how someone has found a new Strad blah blah blah... as I have seen all over the net.

But,I do believe I have found one, well not me personally, but my family who lives in Cuba.

It was unearthed (sort of speak) in my families attic inside of an old trunk, along with other old antique items.

My family has a history in Cuba for having musicians within the family, dating back as far as the late 1800`s,so we think it may have been an ancestors violin.

Nobody ever thought of opening the trunk until recently when a cousin of mine decided to see what was in the trunk while making room to store other items.

To make a long story short here is what I have been told about the violin.

Violin is from 1713 or 1714,forgot what year he told me,but it`s either or,made by Stradivari,so they told me.

Condition is suppose to be very good,I do not know,I have yet to see it but will be getting an email soon containing many photos of the violin.

I`d like to be able to send the photos to an expert of sort on Stradivari instruments, but I do not know such a person.

So,if anyone could possibly forward me any information on an expert I would appreciate it greatly.

Thank you.
