I play clarinet and I started squeekin on it latly. I squeek on number 2 reeds,but not on 2 1/2`s, but 2 1/2`s are like trying to play a block of wood. Any suggestions?

Replace the mouthpiece. if that dosen`t work take it into Music and Arts center (If your state has one). otherwise as far as the reed size goes. put more air into the instrument and you will get used to it. Good Luck

As above, try another mouthpiece. It`s the first thing to do. Also, if the reed is moist and in good condition, just relax and don`t apply too much pressure, or let the mouthpiece go even a fraction too far into your mouth. Take it easy. Strat Man Dwight
