I don`t have braces yet...I`m getting them this summer. I`ve been playing for 3 1/2 years. I`m on a vandoren 3 but I`m scared that I will have to stop because of the pain. Any advice? What does it feel like?

Don`t worry. I had them my first two years and i`ve been playing for 3. It doesn`t hurt. I got used to playing w/o wax over my braces. I would recommend if it is hurting you to get some wax from your orthodontist or any grocery store or drugstore. Wherever they sell toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other dental hygene related stuff.
