I started [;aying the bass just 4 weeks ago and i am having trouble playing anything higher than a b flat (a key and register) can someone help me because i have all region tryouts in about two weeks and i need to be able to play higher. Please and thankyou.

make sure that all your keys are covered because if not air leaks through at first it is hard but you keep trying and you get used to it

I play bass clarinet and i had the SAME problem usually the hole at the top has a loose pad or your obroshure is loose, once you find the problem you will be able to play high high C. So ask your director to take a look at the instrement!
