My son wants a set of drums for the holidays. He is very specific on what he wants in a set, and has narrowed it down to a few, restrained by my budget of course. One brand he is interested in is Vex. He saw a set on ebay which looked promising for a begginer. Can anyone give me some feedback on Vex sets?

hey, honestly i have never heard of `vex.` i have been a drummer now for eight years, and i have always trusted pearl. pearl has an outstanding beginner set, called the pearl export. with cymbols, hardware, and everything the price can end up around $850.00. a bit pricy, but when it comes to drums, money does buy quality. i own a $4,000.00 six=piece pearl prestige. i love it. I have never regretted buying it. If your son wants to go far in music, sho him that your sacrifice in cost should be met with practice and discipline. I hope i answered your question. The best place to buy would be quitar center, good prices.
