i lovew the flute soooo much but i have now been playing picc 4 a yr and am the 1st flute and picc in my highschool band and i entered early this year as an 8th grader and am 13 yrs old there are 5 other piccs in my schooland they are all seniors so i feel really good about bing the best and there are about 20 other flutes and thats pretty good 4 me 2 be in 1st chairadn section leader if ther r ne other young acheevers here give me a holla!

That is Great!!! You should be extremely proud of yourself! I am a flute player too. I`m a freshman in hs and I recieved 6th chair(1st chair 2nd flute) which is alright even though I know I couldve done better. Their is only 1 picc player in my school and he`s a senior. I am now taking on the task of learning how to play oboe. It`s rly fun!

I started playing piccolo in 5th grade! Bam! jk, but I did start in 5th and became better in 6th. My band director heard that I played in the beginng of the year and he insisted I play piccolo throughout marching band and play flute for orchestra and i.e. othe stuff.

That is great that u r in first chair. i am in second i play flute and piccolo too but i am afraid to play in hs because i might be all alone i am in 8th grade. i am also 13 i have been playing since december. i play in band and in marching band. i injoy it a lot bt i no what u mean! well good luck with ur playing and i hope u find a freind
