I am happy to hearon this site that many people started at age 7 or so.
I have a daughter who is 8 dying to play the trumpet and everyone has told me she is too young,
the band director at the elem. school told me she needs to play a Cornet first
because it is shorter if she starts this young
and so I am confused *I only play the piano*
as if she is too young to start..........
if she should play a cornet first or what I should do.
She insists she wants a trumpet.
Any insight you trumpet players could lend to a piano playing mom would be appreciated.
