I am new here. I would like to get some info from you. My son is 11 years old and has been playing piano for several years. Now he wants to learn string instruments to join the school band. He wants to try viola, but I don`t have any clue at all. my son plays piano pretty well, sight reading is very good. his teach said that he will have chance to be a professional pianist, I am not crazy about it. I have several questions to ask:
1)is this website biggest with full information for viola? if there is another one, please let me know it.
2) For the beginner, which brands are good for viola? how much money I should spend for it? I just spent $8000 new piano for my son. can $1000-$2000 buy a good viola?
3) how do I know the teach is good?
4) how much time does my son should practice every day?
