i just play cello for 6 months. i have my cello for tree months. when i`m practise,sometimes my right tumb hurt, really hurt. is it normal? or i just hold the bow wrong? thx

I had pretty much the same problem..it cleared up after about a week. Try to poke your thumb out just a little so the upper lip of the frog isn`t resting so much between your fingernail and front of thumb, so its a little further back on the thumb. just don`t so it too far. I Think thats what i did.
