I have a Yamaha Allegro model 34II Tenor saxophone. This horn has a High F# key as well as a hard wood case it came with straight from the store. I am wondering if anyone knows if this model is a intermediate or professional model. It is very free blowing and has a nice soloist blues sound (with a gold brilhart mouthpiece) Anyone have any experience with this horn? Thanks for any help that can be offered

Ya, it is a pro model. I have been playing the tenor sax all my life. 34II is a pro model, check the bell for an ingraving if there is one it definitly is pro, if no ingraving, it still most likely is a pro, 34II have pro and non.

there is a small engraving just below the Allegro symbol on the bell. Is that what you are talking about? It looks like a couple of leaves engraved into the horn.

Sad part is, I have played saxophone all my life as well. (Selmer Mark 6 Bari with a Low A) played it most of the way through school. (wasn`t mine ofcourse) I have been spoiled. Anyway, I needed to get a saxophone for the naval band audition. (I am cross rateing into the naval band) I needed to get a decent tenor and still need to find a clarinet. (doesn`t matter too much about it. I just need one for a audition.) anyway, I went in and he told me that was all he had and claimed it to be a pro model. I thought it might be but couldn`t find much on the 34II on the net. So wasn`t sure.
