i think tall people are worse at flute than short people.

I think that u r right! i cannot picture a tall person with a flute. the taller u r then the bigger ur fingers must be. too big to hold the flute right without hurting yr fingers. i played the bass flute before and that is a lot easier to play than the normal flute because i am tall. because of this, i decided to change over 2 the bass flute

That is so unfair to say that me and my sister play the flute I am younger that her but taller and im on grade 6 and shes only on 4. Height has nothing to do with anything

i play the flute and am tall,and am good at the flute. but my friends say when am playing it looks like am playing the piccolo. lol

WO WO WO! I am taller than average! I play the flute and my hands are slightly bigger and longer, but that doesn`t determine how well you play or whether or not you should or shouldn`t play. I know plenty of guys like me who play flute and/or picc and they are awesome. I don`t know what you people were getting to but please think before you go and say something completely irrelivent.

People! Physical appearence has nothing to do with playing ability or what you should or shouldn`t play! I play flute and picc mainly and I am great. And if your fingers hurt, well, that`s why they make different kinds of flutes. Also, you must learn how to properly hold a flute as well as the other basics before you can say anything so rediculous!

You know what I think? I think that this is one of the dumbest topics! What does having to be short or tall have to do with how well you play the flute?
Next someone is going to say that people with brown eyes play better then people with blue. Give me a break!!!

What do you consider tall?? And I think anyone can play the flute extremely well, no matter what size they are. It`s all about the practice. If you are tall, it doesn`t necessarily mean your fingers are big, they could be long, which would make it easier for you to space out your fingers on the flute.

Height doesn`t matter. There was this high school girl who used to play at our school and she was amazing---she was six foot (at least).
