Hi my name is Cristian and I own a piece of history I know nothing about.

My flute has inscriptions on it that if correct would place it at the 1889 Exposition of Paris , in form of the prize awarded to Mr. F. Barbier (whoever he is).

Does anyone know this name ?
Does anyone have a clue as to what I might have in my hands ?

I would really appreciate a response with at least some info on this little treasure of mine.

The flute is in great shape and I play as often as I can (which is not often enough).
