I`ve been playing the flute for some time now and recently decided to take up the piccolo and so for my birthday my parents got me a silver yamaha. But because I dont have lessons in the summer and my teacher lives so far away i wont see her for another month. I would really like to get started on learning some tunes as soon as possible but i cant figure out the fingering because the keys are all together if anyone has any useful websites with information or any advice at all, I would be really greatfull

Same as the flute. Until you are advanced enough to want to consider alternative fingerings in the third octave.
If you look carefully you will find it really obvious... there are only three possible places for fingers 1,2&3 for each hand. LIkewise, only one possiblle place for each little finger. As for flute there are two thumb positions, one for B and one for Bb.
There simply are no alternatives!
