Hey, I`m in a marching band. I play flute and just started piccolo. Does anyone know wat the things are called where you wear this thing at your side. It can hold the flute and piccolo and you just switch the intruments through the show. I think it`s a kind of strap. Does anyone know what i`m talking about? lol or If you do where can i get one or can i make it?

Usually when a person is in marching band they just play either the flute or either the piccolo. I have never seen anyone switch in between. Why would you want to do that?

I`ve seen it done. I saw in one show where they switched between piccolo and flute through out the whole show. And I want to use the piccolo for this one song in between where we need a louder pitch for our section

I can`t say that I have ever seen that done before in a show. It seems like it would be way to much of a hassle.
The sound gets so lost outside anyway, so I would recommend just sticking to piccolo where you can be heard.
