Hello. I am a male flute player and thought of naming my flute, but have no idea about which name to give it.
Here are some facts about my flute; Jupiter Brand: 7000s. Made out of Sterling Silver headjoint with gold mouthpiece and crown. Silver Body foot and body with the keys engraved same as my mouthpiece and crown. All the keys are engraved. DOn`t know what to name it. Please help me and I am the only flute male flute player from my school for quite some time. So Please Help me!

Why does it matter about all the features of you flute? Name it for it`s sound and personality when you play it.

Come on! Help this guy name his flute. Do you think guys who play the flute are queer?
Name it something likee Leo, or Danny. For a girls name should be; JOhanna, Melinda, Lace, or Rachel

"Do you think guys who play the flute are queer?"

Why on earth would you write such a question? That had absolutely no place in this thread.

Not really. If you ever have a chance to see a G@y Pride parade they`re mostly brass.

A Flute is obviously a really bad choice of instrument for someone having sexuality issues. Although I loved the flutes sound it was really one of my least preferred choices in that respect. In fact I had the opportinity to switch to other instruments, but eventually fell back on the flute. It`s just a really well designed instrument that speaks well.

Now for a straight guy the flute is a chick magnet and you may get invited to slumber parties. lol.

Sexual identity crisis, SLY?

I don`t have an answer for you, but I have my suspicions about anyone who asks a question like that. Fortunately, most closets don`t have locks on them.

I call mine "the prybar" and sometimes "the whistle" or "the stick".

The worry about naming a flute just seems odd to me. I`ve named the four children that I`ve given birth to...so I guess that`s why an inanimate object doesn`t rank as high with me. No matter how much I love my flute, nothing comes even a close second to a baby!

Other people do it, look at B.B. King, his guitar is named "Lucille", and it`s worked out for him!

I also don`t name my car! I must be an old fuddy-duddy.

Yeah I don`t get it either. It seems a bit childish to me, but maybe that`s just me!
