You`re right, but we can probably transpose, you just take everything down a half step, right? (or is it up? I`m too tired to think.)

Dear Ashley,
I`m a "little" late in responding to your inquiry. If you havent` found the piccolo part for Stars and Stripes Forever, you can buy it at encoremusic.com or bandnook.com. The item number is 889927IER on both web sites.
Hope this helps!
Baba Ma
P.S. If you have any questions about anything, let me know.

I just got a copy of S&S and have all the notes down. What I`m having trouble with it getting it up to speed. I know the drill about starting slowly, working on sections instead of the entire thing, etc. and I am doing it that way. It`s just so frustrating trying to get it clean and crisp at 120. Any other suggestions? By the way, I`m refering to the picc solo.

I have all the notes down in the picc solo. The problem I`m having is getting it up to speed. I know the drill-start slowly and work your spped up, take small sections and work on those instead of the whol solo, etc. and I`m doing all those things. It`s just so darn frustrating trying to get to that 120 mark with all the notes clean and crisp. Any otrher suggestions?

I love that song, and have been playing that solo since I was 14years old (c;= I know it by heart, and now I am teaching my little soister (10yrs) how to play it as well. I have a version, but it`s in B-flat, while the original is in A-flat. I can get the original (A-flat) by tomorrow evening and scan it for everyone, if anyone`s still interested. (Of course C-piccolo, I HATE D-flat piccolos!! *laughs*)

Now I finally got it, and scanned it. For everyone interested, you will find it on

It`s both 1st and 2nd flutes, but I was thinking it might be wrong... The 1st flute contains the piccolo solo in any matter. Good luck to all of you trying to play it or already playing it... The easiest thing is actually to learn it by heart, and believe me, it will stick forever! hehehe...
