"There is no guarantee of quality from ANYONE."
But I have to disagree here. Sad that one lousy technician can disillusion you so much. It is wrong to generalise from your experience of one poor technician.
SOME technicians do have an outstanding reputation for reliable workmanship, and they are most certainly not necessarily Straubinger certified.
Personally, I would consider it an insult to the quality of my workmanship to have to get ANYBODY`S permission to use ANY pads. I have certainly done my share of CORRECTION of Straubinger-certified installations! AS a technician I certainly would not be alone in my feelings on this issue, and experiences.

Yeah, Kara, I`ve noticed that, too. There are a lot of new people here that seem to disappear once questions are asked about who they are... Hum...

Phoebe, I have used many techs, that were supposed to be wonderful, but there was always something that I had to go back and fix when they were done. My disappointment goes far beyond just one tech.
I agree with you that there are some outstanding techs out there, but they are very few and far between. People just don`t seem to care if it isn`t there property.

that`s true too. and that is why the advise given about researching for a good tech is so valid.
