My question is the same as the topic. Does anyone have any experience w/ Jupiter flutes? Specifically the 700 series.

Yeah I have the flute from the Jupiter Di-Medici range. I love the Jupiter sreies they are very well made, rarely if ever need repair and have a great sound. I tried a number of different flutes before I decided on the Jupiter one I bought. I disliked the Yamaha ones for there hyped prices and the Trevor James just didnt suit what I was looking for but as soon as I picked my Juipter up I loved it. They have a great tone in all ranges and octaves. I would recommend these flutes to all students and intermediates.

It looks like the prices are pretty close between the 711 and the 911 dimedici. The 711 is silver headjoint and body where the 911 is silver headjoint and plated body. Any opinions between the two?

I just got one in that I thought was pretty nice and I was rather impressed with it. I have heard that the newer models have really improved and are now giving Yamaha a run for their money. Here is the link to the one that I am selling.

If you have a chance to get a newer one though, I would go with that.

I have a Jupiter 711 which is silver body and head, open hole, inline G and B foot. I`ve been playing it for about 8 years now I think (I forget how long ago I got it) and I love it. It`s got a great tone and it`s still working perfectly. I`d reccommend the brand - they`re good value for money too.

If you feel you are going to go for a Jupiter definetley go for the one at the top of your price list go for all silver if you can.

Patrick, just the man I needed to talk talk to. What is your opinion between the 711 and the 911. I`m interested in a offset G with B foot. Would I be better off with the 911 model or is the solid siver 711 a better model? What are the noticable differences?

The 911 offers more choices in headjoint design, the best thing to do is try them, try a cfoot as well if you have the chance, the 911 also has french pointed keys as well. One reason these flutes are so good is that the quality of the tubes is very high, the tubes are imported from Japan

Patrick, I`m glad you finally opened up about your being a clinician with Jupiter. I`ve been wanting to share that harmony flute article for awhile, but I figured it should be something you`d reveal on your own.

Did you notice Jupiter`s harmony flute page added a little quote up top

A friend loaned me his Jupiter alto to try, and I was really impressed with it`s response and tone, not to mention how light it was. Definitely on my short list. Now I just need to try the Pearl alto.

I was wondering if anyone here could help me out a little here. I have a 3035 Jupiter piccolo and it`s great just one thing though. When I play the low d it dosn`t seem to come out that cleary and so when I`m playing faster passages it just sounds like I`m skipping them. I dont know if it`s my thecnique or could it be something with the pads on the piccolo.

Thanks in advance
