Can anyone tell me the difference between these brands, or even if there is a difference? Also, I have a Burkart-Phelan Global Piccolo and I wanted to know if their flutes are as great as their piccolos. Any feedback about their flutes is welcome.

I haven`t had a chance to try out a Burkart flute myself, but people have told me that they are very similar to the Powell. Ms. Burkart used to work for the Powell company making piccolos I believe.

they make a great piccolo, and affordable at that, and I hear their flutes are excellent

I haven`t had a chance to try one of their flutes out yet too. I was so consumed into their piccolos, I completely forgot about trying out the flutes.

I still do not understand the difference between Burkart vs. Burkart-Phelan. Am I getting this right: Burkart flutes made by only Lillian Burkart and Burkart-Phelan flutes are made by both Lillan Burkart and James Phelan? Also, why are Burkart-Phelan flutes cheaper than Burkart flutes.

There are only Burkart-Phelan flutes.

Burkart Custom/Deluxe piccolos are those instruments that have hand making and voicing done by Lilian Burkart herself.

Burkart-Phelan piccolos are also handmade, but by other experienced hand makers.

No, there are two kinds. Burkart and Burkart-Phelan. Burkart are "higher-end" flutes, with soldered toneholes and are more expensive. Burkart-Phelans have drawn toneholes and are less expensive.
