Hi everyone. I`m new here and I`ll start off by saying a little about myself. I`m from England and I`ve been playing the flute since I was 8. I`m now 13 and am doing ABRSM Grade 7 in July. I play a Yamaha 311/321 that has magically fixed itself in the last 3 days .

Hi Glaedr welcome to the 8notes flute(and piccolo) family. Your doing really well to be on grade 7 at 13! Have you done any of your medals yet?

Leprechaun, what are medals?

After your grades or during them you do medals. I did my bronze medal at the same time as my grade four exam, my silver at grade six and my gold just after my grade seven exam. After your grade eight you do your senior certificate.

I`ve never heard of medals or a senior certificate to go along with grades. Maybe it`s only in certain places. Doesn`t it mean more work along with the practice for the AB exams?

I Just Join in july. Good luck on ur ABRSM I did Grade 6 this year pass with merit missed the distinction by a couple of marks. i'm not doing grade 7 but i'm doing 8 next year.
