Sorry I just had to tell you guys that remember I was going for a really big audition (see the `What do people look for in auditions` post) I took into account everything you guys said, then wrote all the most important points on little cards and stuck them round my room until I learned each one and how to apply it to my playing.
Anyway I went for the audition- but my flute playing really let me down for some reason. I think they saw that flute is my life and saw that I was having a bad day or it could have been the fact that my piccolo sounded better than ever before but I got the place!! I'm soo happy twenty-seven flautists were going for just two positions and I got one.
I just had to post to say thank you guys for all the advice it actually really helped me and probobly got me the place so THANKS

Congrats! Something similar happened to me in August when I auditioned for my youth orchestra. Around 20 flute players auditioned for 2 spots and I luckily made it.

HEY you guys! i also want to THANK YOU GUYS BUNCHES!! in this other thread with the advices for an audition..thing. YUP, i read ALL of it, and i made sure to be CONFIDENT when i went in to audition. AND i made it in! AHHHH!! i'm SO excited for next year band!! ..YUP, thanks for your advies!!:D It was placement for next year band..very scary..

I think my band director liked my confidence when i walked in the room...and i put a bright face..and it probably looked like i wasnt' nervous at all..

OMG, so on that day on the audition. There's some competitve flute players. This one person keeps on following me and playing scales and runs SUPER SUPER fast..(i think she was trying to scare me). I kept on moving away from her..gosh. there's a lot of COMPETITVE ppl out there.
so i'm happy to say that i made it in the top band as a freshman..really hard.
do you guys have any stories?
