I think EMerson flutes are really nice. My cousin has one...i like it alot. Maybe the piccolo would be good too. Hey, how much are you selling your emerson picc for kara? I saw the picture of it..but it didn't say the price.

It is an all plastic one. I bought it to use as a backup and only ended up using for a couple of concerts. I need to get the money for it right now so that I can get my niece a nice flute.
I am asking $350 for it. It is looks and plays brand new.

<Added>

So, you used that piccolo in concerts? So it'll be good in band concerts and all that. umm..is it okay for marching band? ehh..maybe not..(i dunno)

Kippsix,
My niece is 11. I am either going to get her a student Yamaha or an Emerson. I really want to get her a Yamaha. She is going to take band this coming year. She reminds me so much of me, so I really think that she will do well. I am thrilled that she wants to play flute!

Schoolgirl,
I love this piccolo! I wouldn't sell it if I didn't really need to get the fund for my girl Evelyn. (My niece)
I just used it at an outdoor concert and it was amazing. He blends well like a wood one, that is what like most about it. The scale on it is great too. I bought it to use for my outdoor concerts so I didn't have to take my wood one out. I only used it at one outdoor concert and that was last week. When I had my Burkart in the shop, I used this one for a few days and it was like a work horse. The mechanism is so solid.

Since it is all plastic it is very versatile, you can use it out doors for marching band and for concert use. I would be thrilled to sell to you and know that it is going to a good home.

I'm so excited^^ My birthday is coming up in a week so it's VERY possible that my parents would be willing to buy it for me. So it could be outdoor and indoor..nice
I'll be very careful. I need a couple of days to ask my parents and all that. Yup.. I know it won't take long as buying a flute. Oh boy,...i remember those days. (crazy!)
I'm SO EXCITED!! I'll email you or something..oh, i live in chicago, IL.

You should consider going through Flute World, that way you will get a piccolo that works properly. I have had a lot of bad luck with wwbw sending out instruments that had leaks and needed adjustment. Why not still try an Emerson? Flute World sells them as so doew wwbw.

If you are going to use a piccolo for marching and concert use, I highly recommend a plastic body piccolo.

HHmmm.. i was just looking at emerson in wwbw..quite pricey. $1000.. Im looking for a nice student piccolo. I don't think my parents would want to spend that much money after buying me that flute^^
I noticed that the gemienhardt had no lip plate..is it more hard? Hmm..i'll try looking at flute world too.

<Added>

OH, what do you guys think of the brand Woodwind? they have good prices and reading the ppl's comments, it sounds good. BUt i'm always too easily convinced...is that a good brand? or should i just stick with either the emerson or gemienhardt? Oh boy,..i hope piccolo shoping doesnt go crazy^^

Schoolgirl,
I think that you are looking at the wood ones. The one that I see there is all plastic P3 model and costs $629.00. Here is the link to it.

$525?..HHhhmm.. not bad i guess. I just don't want something around $1000,..i just want a piccolo just to play through highschool. I'm not sure if i want to play as a career. Maybe professionally..like some of you guys..but as a career?hmm..don't know!^^
So, i'm not looking for a fancy piccolo. I think emerson is a good brand..but i heard a lot of good stuff about gemienhardt. MAYBE i could just stick with the emerson...EH..i'll ask my private teacher... (can't think)

<Added>

OH! OH! the plastic emerson that cost $625 comes with 2 headjoints? that's cool..i should look more into that. I feel bad keeping on asking my parents for money:)...but hey, my birthday...

<Added>

ANd andrewb..my parents make a lot of money. I can't always depend on them for everything!:) wish i could...my daddy is a minister and my mommy is a accountant for a cool company:)
