I haven't heard him play that one, I will have to find it and give it a listen.

I have Galway's recording of the Chaminade (on his Greatest Hits CD I think), and I have to disagree with you. I do think he plays a bit overboard sometimes, but it I think it is a overall excellent recording. I also have Laurel Zucker's recording of it on her French cd, and I thought her interpretation could use more edge and more life to it.

I found flute, piano and piccolo in there, but not sure what the "rium" or the "lin" are. Violin, I'm guessing. But my head wants to yell "barium" for the first one and the last time I checked, that wasn't an instrument!

Regarding Chaminade Concertino by Galway. I do wish he had more colour in it. The runs on the first page are horrendous. I wonder why he chose to take those INCREDIBLY too fast? He also has the tone that my ex-flute teacher told me was best. Just on the verge of cracking the note into the next octave. I disagreed with that a little. I don't like to hear the rasp in the lower notes. ESPECIALLY in that run. Isn't this supposed to be a love song? LOL
