oh..yea..some ppl are mean. BUT when i went to honor band..(i think i already said this)..they were the NICEST PPL I EVER MET!!! They all were smiley ppl and we all got to know each other. OMG!! i had a GREAT time making music with them.. and the band director too! i'm glad he didn't pick on me^_^..
My highschool school teacher ALWAYS picked on me in the begining of the year..but now it's cool. It was kinda fun though...YUP.

YEA..! These kinds of oppurtunities comes around once a year for me too. it's nice to play in a good band with a famous guest conducter..i can't wait for next year band..farewell freshman band!..WHOA!!

People didn't really talk to me in High School. I was kind of a loner. I only got popular my Senior Year. The rest of the years I was shunned. I went to a school where a lot of the kids had money, but the school was mexi-ghetto. I remember making All-State Band on a plastic Bundy clarinet. I got 2nd Chair on that danged instrument. Everyone else, who you would think were the biggest supporters of Buffet, either didn't audition or didn't make it. I realize this is a flute forum, but I started flute later in life (Senior Year). Bundy is the epitome of horrible student clarinets. Buffet is supposedly the better of the professional clarinets. Compare Artley and Nagahara...tawlk amungst yuhselvs (Coffee Talk - SNL). So they hated me until I was Drum Major, First Chair Clarinet and Oboe, and did a crazy amount of Solos at S&E. BTW, Russian Christmas Music has the BEST oboe solo!

ahh..dennis, i feel sorry for you. For some ppl highschool is really bad. Like my best friend goes to this ghetto school and everyone is so mean to her. My school is SUPER SUPER rich..and everyone thinks we're snooby mean ppl. BUT i think my highschool has really NICE ppl..

YEa..i actually LOVE highschool..WAY BETTER than elementry or middle. The teachers make my highschool really good. EXCEPt for this one teacher..she is SOOOOOOOOO mean. she gave me a detention..*sigh*. And i have a LOW LOW B in her class..and i'm really artistic too. THat's the only b in all my classes..except for english though..but i know why...YEAH.....

OMG TONI!! THat's like the same thing that happened to me!! Our band stinks because no one tries anymore..and most of the ppl play with poor tone quality and they ALWAYS TALK!! no respect for the director..it's sad.
There's barely and flutes in our band and same here...a lot of clarients left before going to highschool. OMG..TONS TONS of ppl left.
ACTUALLY, we COULD be a reALLY awesome band. but NOOO way! NO one tries at ALL..they don't want to play their best. I mean we have some GOOD musican in our freshman band. 2 other ppl in my band including me went to district honor band when the upperclass ppl didn't make it in!

And so many talented ppl...AHHHhhh..ppl just gives no respect to my band director. i just CAN"T wait for next year.

Sadly, immaturity follows you out of high school, too! I always have to laugh when I see band directors get involved with the same petty things their students do. I have been under the direction of some really amazing, famous conductors and then I have also worked with some 'other' directors, too. At honor bands I have been a part of in the past, I have seen people be rude to conductors and they have no clue who they just insulted, and then I have seen conductors insult students without caring who hears them... It's also kinda sad... But, I have found some real idols, though, through honor bands.

OMG! HArry potter?..the movies are REALLY good. i could watch it OVER and OVER again! So far..i have all the movies..YUp! I've only read the first book though,..i'm not really addicted to it(like my friends) but i think it's fun to watch^_^
OMG! the the 3rd one was SOOOOO scary. the ones with the flying ghost ppl..i was watching in the basement with my brother in the dark. REALLY scary!! We had the volume BLASTING too. has good effect:D..yea, qutie scary

Oh my gosh! Potter puppet pals!!!! "BOTHER" Sorry, but I absolutely LOVE them! My friends and I always "bother" this one college professor that actually looks and acts like Prof. Snape... I don't get why Dumbledore isn't clothed, but the rest of it is pretty funny!
(Sorry, I know this has nothing music-related to it! I just got really excited to see other people who love potter puppet pals because, in high school, it was my friends and I who introduced it to the rest of our school!)

I remember the Potter puppet pals he he he. Dumbledore just likes to get naked he's old and kind of senile so he's allowed to do that. Plus he is Dumbledore, who would stop him? (besides you-know-who)

OMG youguys, i didn't have sleep all week and i was hoping to get some sleep this weekend..but sadly no. I have this HUGE final this monday..spanish and Bio. study! study!ANd plus i need to make a Ancient greek mask (out of clay) and a bibliagraphy. ALL for monday!! AHHHH..i have to do it ALL for tommorrow. i'm dead you guys! I also have guests on sunday..and i't gonna be so hard to work with little kids around. *sigh*..

Hey AndrewB, that happened to my friend too. EVERYONE did some popular song and wrote how they felt. but my friend did a classical music..it felt weird. BUT this one kid..a really popular kid. said he liked her speech because it was different from everyone else and it was very personal...We also had to play the song to in class. *sigh* sometimes i REALLY don't like ppl who don't accept me as who i am. I act really hyper and all :D! at school..
