I know the name of this song is Bolero, but does anyone know who it is written by? I like it and wanted to order the music.

Thanks Micron! Now I am going to go order it. I do have Andalouse already and really like that piece also. I have it in a couple of books, one being in my music minus one collection. I love those things!

I totally agree on what you said about that girls performance. I wasn't sure if it was a bad recording or what. She sure has a hard time touging cleanly. A lot of hooing was going on if you know what I mean. That is was I call it when a student doesn't properly tounge. She has potential if she could clear up her sound and work on her tone.

It really is your call if you want to say something on the site. I thought about it, but go listen on that site and you will run into a lot worse! Now Mark is on there and he does a very nice job, so I am not talking about him at all.

The girl playing that piece will figure it out soon enough if she plans on majoring in college.

Thanks again Micron.

Thank you for the good counseling concerning playing too fast when still unprepared.

I tend to do that too. Today I had my weekly class and I could play the duet we are working on fast, but the sound was far from acceptable.

With my new flute I *MUST* improve on the sound, so I will take much more care (and execising) of that aspect. Right now I have a good excuse for sloppy sounding...

That Bolero is beautiful and for the performance, maybe we could concede that the audio recording is probably as bad as the video is.

Pessard's Andalouse is so beautiful... I remember doing that one for a contest a few years ago. I have never been able to find a good recording of it, however. Sad. Handel's Siciliana and Giga is very nice, too, if anyone has ever heard it?
Has anyone ever run across the entire set of Bach's Suite in B Minor? I am trying to find it in a Rubank-Voxman format (it's easier to read) but all I can find are bits of the Polonaise, the Badinerie, and, occassionaly, the Rondo. I have checked with J.W. Pepper and sheetmusic.com, but I have not been able to find anything that is not overpriced because it is not in stock or anything that is not in blurry print.
Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt anything about the Bolero...

Thank you so much, Micron! The first link you posted seems to be the one I am looking for, and the other two were very helpful!!! Just let me know if there is any way I can repay the favor!!! (I am considering ordering the sheetmusic from the first link)
