I was wondering if anyone has seen this boy singing the Queen of the Night Aria from Act 2 of The Magic Flute? I am quite impressed. My partner says he was able to sing it when he was young too, and it ticked off his mother who was an opera singer, but couldn't hit the Super F in the music. So, naturally, I am sending her the link also! I hope I don't get in too much trouble! Enjoy!

Oh my gosh! We must have radar or something. Lol! I JUST watched that about an hour ago. There is so much talent on that site, I love watching them.

By the way, how do you make comments on there? Do you have to register or something?

You know I now understand why choirs in the medevil era had eunuchs. That was insanely cool to see a boy that age singing a piece most women can't begin to touch. Wow.

Oh my goodness! I could never sing like that, ever! My computer had the same problems, stopping and starting, so I wasn't able to hear the whole thing (I have dial up, which is almost the same as no internet at all!), but it was really interesting! I can hum on a good day... He really has a voice!

Toni,

The *'s are meant as a polite way of not speaking about certain aspects of stereotypical things about guy flute players. I will leave it at that, and would prefer not to make a big deal out of it. There are certain viewpoints on this subject, and would rather not have it discussed on this website. I'm not being rude at all, it just really doesn't have anything to do with music.

Thanks,
Dennis

Sorry, I am not sure if I follow either. Maybe that is better that way.

PS. Who cares about that anyway.. we are all human and created equal.

Oh, I am not upset with anyone. I come to this forum to relax if anything else. I don't mind talking about that subject, but I just would rather not here. Anyone is free to email me if they want, though.

It's okay, Toni! You are not ignorant, you just have a lot of time to learn things. I feel the same way. I am a freshman (basically) in college and I feel like a complete idiot sometimes! Don't worry; if you ask a question, we are probably all wondering the same thing.
That's really cool, Dennis, that you come here to relax and don't mind answering questions. Like Kara says, we all have different ideas of life and everyone should live it the way they want!
(I felt like being very supportive tonight! I hope no one minds!)

Toni, he is singing in German.

Actually I think he sings with surprising clearness… I was able to catch a lot of words, and I am incapable of getting anything when I listen to most sopranos!

That is very true about the clearness of his voice. He does enunciate the words very clearly. Of course, he is probably German!

I don't think it is an American thing. You like to blame a lot on America, which is unfair and I do find it a bit offenive since I live in that country.

The word editor was added to this forum to keep out the bad stuff. I am sure you remember how it used to be and how some actually attacked you by using this word. So I am glad it is filtered now.

Yes, either German or Swiss or something the like… (Nice Tirolese clothes!)

Actually the fact that he is German has nothing to do with it… Many foreign people speak German better than the Germans themselves!!

I wish I knew who he is. Does anybody know?

"Many foreign people speak German better than the Germans themselves!" That's HILARIOUS. Of course never say that about the French. They will beat you down! Silly French, Shaving's for girls, too! OH! How rude! I figured I might be the first to say that I was rude for saying that. At least I have come to terms with it!

Micron,
I was wondering why there were WAY too many ***'s there. So does this mean that I could curse all I want and whatever it doesn't *** out isn't my fault? ROFL
