I am in the same boat as you, jose luis! So many questions, no one to certified to answer them!!! Well, we are only human, so something is bound to go wrong, anyway! We'll all figure it out when we get there (there as in whatever is going on!)
Gah... I am so tired... I was marching almost all day! It's fun, but exhausting!

I realize this makes no sense... please ignore the post... ;););)

Flute_girl,
from a few decades of teaching flute, I've found that generally unless there is some other underlying medical condition, hyperventilation (Dizzyness) is caused by using too much air while blowing. If you look into a mirror while playing, try to see the size of the hole that you are using in your embouchure. FOr some this may seem like an unrealistic goal but if you can make the hole the size of a half rest, then you may find that your tone improves and the amount of time between breaths will greatly improve. ou can exercise the lips by playing the higher notes such as E3 or the high F# 3.
Try this exercise:
1)inhale
2)Close lips.
3)Blow as if saying poo without the tongue.
I generally start on an F2 and work up the chromatic scale.
