well, that's just the way it is...things really change.
i agree w/ jose...
restoration is in process. true that people are really leaving but that doesn't mean it is the end of this forum.
we just have to respect their decisions and just continue what we have started in here.
im happy with this forum and im staying

I don't like to bring up dead threads, but I decided to read what others had written on my original post since I stopped reading after while. I was floored to read how people thought I was copping out. I even read a post where someone was accusing me of having the thinking that if someone else does not share my views then I will go somewhere else. How insensitive and rude! I guess no one seemed to get the reason why I left the forum in the first place. Maybe they didn't read any of my further posts stating that I was not leaving with a bad taste, and I actually stated that I understand people share different views. The reason I left this forum originally (so that everyone can be clear and there will be no micron of doubt) was that I was starting college in a couple months. I knew I had a tough time ahead of me, and wanted to create a place that would be supportive to those furthering their education. I understand that humans, in general, prey on the negativity in life. This is seen everywhere as the news and all forms of media emphasize the bad aspects of our lives. An Adult Flute Chat was an implied maturity factor. I didn't care what legal age you were. It was designed for people that needed help, people working on rep., and people that had questions. Much like this forum. The only difference really...the fact that I did not want to have to sift through posts about what the highest note on the flute is, and its 500 different responses yelling at each other about why THEY'RE right. My solution...don't answer a question unless you have physical evidence of why you are right. Stating that your fingering chart goes up to G or C is not sufficient due to the fact that fingering charts are designed for fundamental learning. Get and EXTENDED fingering chart...then we'll talk.
In regards to the Galway forum. I was on there more frequently this summer than now due to school, but I didn't mind it. That site seems to be geared more toward the professional flutist than the learning flutists. At least that's what it seems to be used as. I never really got answers from it when posting there. I think there is a clique on that website, and if you're not part of the clique you don't get the info you are after.
Once again, sorry for bringing up a dead post again, but I hope you got your heads out of your !*****!s long enough to read it and see where I was coming from.
