I feel lost. I can't find the "I'm leaving" posts anywhere. It is to bad when people can't get along. To me it is easy to ignore people online that you dislike or don't agree with. I have learned it is a waste of time and energy to respond to some people so I simply don't. (of course I had to learn that the hard way) As the song goes - you gotta know when walk away. Letting it go saves a ton of potential fustration and frees up your time for other more fun stuff. JMO
I LOVED playing in my high school band. (tenor sax) It was a very small school and most everyone got along. I don't remember any competition between any of the musicians at all. I am still very good friends with the bass clarinet player that sat next to me. (and for the record high school was 20 years ago for me)
I am hoping to get good enough on the flute to play in the local community band. I hope they don't have players that are competitive like I hear described on here. Talk about taking the fun out of things.
