I'm a third study flute player (I study clarinet at college in London) - about grade 6 standard and I need to pick it up again this summer. Anyone know any world influenced pieces I could try that aren't too difficult?

I'm not sure what you mean by world repertoire, but perhaps Roussel's Joueurs de Flute? Each movement represents a different cultural style. Here's a link for more info:
