I have the exact same tuner. I can't really tell you how good it works because this is my only tuner. But It is a little more sensitve than the ones they had at the school I used to go to.

The tuner i had is a little bit more expensive. There's a meternome, tuner(of course!), and a pitch thingy. I guess more stuff is added onto it. HHmm.. i think i heard of that tuner before. Is it black..small? My friend has one..yeah, and i remember it being sensitive too..i dunno! if it is a small black one,..i suggest you don't buy it. I remember being off all the time...(if yours is the one i'm thinking of^_^)

I have one, and it does me well enough. It also has a good "hearing range." I've gotten it to register C5 (fingering C4 on piccolo) before, and purchased it specifically for the reason that my older tuner, also a Korg, but of a different model, could not "hear" these pitches. It's also reasonably sensitive. Like flutes, I'd say there is no one best tuner. There are different attributes to tuners (sensitivity, range, what kind of display it offers, etc.), and you'll want to find one that does what you need it to and is comfortable to read. However, this model is a solid (and very inexpensive) piece of equipment that can be quite useful, so if it works for you, go for it.

I have a Korg CA30 tuner that I purchased about 6 months ago. I bought it because the salesperson at the music store recommended it as being more sensitive than many of the other brands. I'm very happy with it, it works great!!

SG, it may be a korg, they make many, I dont know how accurate they are on really high notes though, they seem to react to the overtones

I have this tuner, and I like it. It does a good job.
I paid about $16 plus shipping for mine. They are $26 at the local music store, so I would say that $19.99 is a good price.

I also took a hot bit of metal and 'engraved' my name and phone number on the back. These things are ubiquitous in the bandroom, so it's hard to prove which one is yours.

I also named mine, and printed it across the front with the engraver--"Charley Tuna".

oh, it might be. When i tried to tune my instrument with the stick thingy matching.. it was realy hard. at first it kept on moving WAY flat and WAY sharp like crazy..when i try to tune with a different tuner..the stick doesnt' go that crazy. HHmm..
It doesnt matter how cheap a tuner is right? Is there a difference in really expensive one and cheap ones? i've always wondered that.. i mean i've seen tuners in all sorts of price ranges.
