Hi,

Anyone here using an FT Sankyo Headjoint?
What the differences between this one and the NRS-1?

TIA

The FT seems to play darker and more straight forward with a touch of more resistance than the NRS-1.

By resistence you mean it's necessary to blow harder to project the sound?

I've got the following comment from a friend who is a Sankyo enthusiast:

"About the FT model I can say that I tried several of them and that they are very good. Anyhow I prefer the NRS 1. FT is more like a conventional lip plate found on most high quality flutes."

What about the NRS2? How does it compare with the NRS1?

I've not heard about this NRS2. Is it a brand new model?

I have some information concerning a new cork stopper designed by Sankyo. Maybe this NRS2 is the NRS1 upgraded with this new cork. What changes, according to comments I've read recently, is that you can get more volume, and more precision in stacatto with this new cork.

There is so many comments these days about crown/stopper changing and modifying that I think the manufacturers are doing their best to react to these independent techs advances.
