I guess that means I'm renting a beat-up-but-functioning Toyota "Starlet"...

I don't even know if there's a car equivalent for my flute....Is there some American sportscar in the range of a Lamborghini?

The Armstrings definitely have their place, but once again, they probably won't suit when you're looking to spend 3k and get an artist level instrument.

Ha, if we keep up the car analogy, mine would be a 1972 Skoda with no engine and probably graffitied swearwords on the bonnet...

Flutist06: look up a Saleen S7. That might be the automotive equivalent of your flute. I have a Powell Signature, so I guess it would be an entry level Cadillac?

Thanks a lot Tim! I'd say that's a pretty good fit!
