I think one of the worst things that can happen in a band is at the end of the song when everyone is holding a note and the band director cuts everyone off and there is one person who isn't paying attention and hangs on too long. Or they play the last note too late. This has never actually happened to me.... not that I would admit it if I did

This didn't happen to me, but if it did...We were at our FBA competition for marching season to get our rating two years ago. It was our first year with a flag/colorguard group, and we had a new instructur for our crappy dancers...well, one of the flags left their flag right in the way of a bass drummer. We had to go backwards and the poor kids hat fell off. Then, one of our flutes went to pick up the flag when we were leaving the field, after several of us had yelled/whispered to her to drop it, she did. And on top of all of that, our dancers did their cadence dances through out the entire song because the dumb instructor was too busy looking at uniforms to make the dance...but surprisingly, we still got superior!!!

one time in Drum Corps about 3 years ago (before I joined) there was a Baritone player that tripped over his shoelace or something and created a domino effect on the feild during a competition (I think it was FBA or states or something)

I too caused a domino effect in our flute section in marching band! Luckily it was at band camp but it was actaully quite funny!
Another time on a Europe trip, we'd perform various local areas in churches, town get to gether halls, outside on platforms. So we were getting setup on an outside platform 3 feet high in a town square. I pushed my chair back, sat down and one of the back legs of the chair was over the platform/stage and I fell backward with my skirt falling down over my but holding my flute in the air praying I didn't injure my flute! It was so embarrasing! Luckily my flute and myself were ok but ooh boy! Also that trip the directors had to point out us flutes in the first rown to angle our knees to one side so the audience wouldn't get flashed. OOOOh that was embarassing! We had to where a red blazer and navy skirt and I don't know about others but others in the band were right with me I wear mid length skirts with a blazer. Maybe we should have got pants!
Also in junior high right at the end of the concert for adjudication we stood up, applause, applause just dying down then my foot joint falls straight off my flute to the stage and you here a loud clank. Oops. Well it wasn't my fault it was loose!
Sorry if I repeated myself! This thread sounds familiar and people from other times probably already hear them but I thought me falling off a stage with my skirt falling down was pretty funny and embarassing!
