It is a grade 3 piece on flute world.

It is severely overdone and would not be a good choice unless you can nail it musically as well as technically. It is the musical expression that will sell the piece. You may be the 10th person to play it in front of the judges that day.
Get recordings of it, Susan Milan and Ransom Wilson have wonderful recordings of it. I also have Paula Robison and Willian Kincaid's version, and although I don't like their reditions (and I do LOVE Paula Robison's playing in general) it wouldn't hurt to listen to any rendition that is available.
