Hi,
I have to play the flute for a wedding (in the church). Problem: the piano canceled and so I have to play solo. Any of you who can give me ideas about solo songs that I can play (classical or more modern, but you know: decent because otherwise I`m thrown out of the church !)
Waiting for all of your suggestions !
Claudia

hmm...im not sure if you`d like to play this, because it`s not wedding-style, but you could play J.S. Bach`s flue solo in a minor...
sorry if you don`t like it...just a suggsetion

This my sound stupid...It probably is stupid, but if the wedding hasn`t past yet...You could play the Syrinx or Flute de Pan (same piece) Very...abstract.

Try the Bridal Chorus from "Lohengrin"! It`ll be a surefire hit!

sorry, I don`t speak english very good because I am french...
You can play, Syrinx (Debussy), piece for solo flute (Ibert), sonata appassionata (Karg-Elert), the sonata for solo flute (J-S Bach) and there are a lot of music for solo flute but so modern and the church`s public can be afraid!
If you want I can give you theses pieces by mail...

I know a really good wedding song, it is called Canon by Pachebel. You should play that.
Sincerely,
Kayla

I believe that Teleman wrote a set of fantasies for flute alone, but I might be wrong. Another nice piece is Danse de la Chevre, but it isn`t exactly wedding music.
Good Luck,
