Micron, it got confused between the statement that Dennis made about getting B3 from a low C1 fingering.
You aren't confused as to how you get a B3 harmonic however from those low fingerings.
Hee's what I'm saying adding from what you wrote..
Finger B0.... 8th harmonic, or
.....the root of a V7 chord.
Finger C#1....7th harmonic, or
.....the 7th of a V7 chord.
Finger E1 ... 6th harmonic, etc.
.....the 5th of a V7 chord.
and
Finger G1...5th harmonic, etc.
...the third of a V7 chord.
Finger B1..4th Harmonic, etc.
...the root of a V7 chord.
Athough there are more and higher harmonics in the series that sound in every tone, a dominant 7th chord pattern is laid out in the lowest and loudest ones.
I think that this concept is an underlying cornerstone in our western music theory-tonality.
