Guitar Center (Musician's Friend) to buy WW&BW's Inventory!

From post on woodwind.org clarinet forum:

Biz Journal News article:

May be good or bad news for some. It's such a shame such a long running company has to bite the dust. Reminds me of when web van bought out home grocer and now they both don't exist. (WW&BW bought out their competitor Music123, now they'll both be gone)

I'm personally not very upset by that. Their prices were good for some things, but the general lack of knowledge and customer service I've experienced from them turned me off to WWBW long ago. There selection above the basic band instrument was also pretty tiny. As long as Fluteworld is still going strong, I'm fine.

Giardenelli was bought along time ago. It's just the name now. That's been a guitar center owned company for a while now. It's an all guitar center world, just about, now...

I looked at Muncy Winds website, but they don't appear to actually carry flutes, just flute accessories. Are they maybe planning to expand?

I think Muncy Winds is largely clarinet focused, but carries other instruments and accessories. I would hope that they would have flutes at their physical store if not on their website, such a shame if not. Online flute selling is probably too competitive.

I found this mac homepage for Muncy which has contact information and pictures:
